As I was fiddling about with Artisteer I thought I would visit its site and see what it is up to. It seems to be, if not abandoned, at least left to fend for itself for a while.<\/p>\n
Purchases and updates are still available, and you get two for the price of one, with another product, Themler, included.<\/p>\n
You buy the product and get one year of free upgrades. I put in my Licence number and checked the pricing. I could get a year of upgrades for $25, but the good news is the upgrade I am entitled to – and this is a nifty feature they have where they show you and give downloads to what you are entitled to – goes to V4. I bought it at V2 and upgraded to V3, which is the one I am using now.<\/p>\n
So, downloading and installing V4 gives me an upgrade I should have looked for in 2012. I have downloaded and will upgrade and have a look at the new version sometime today.<\/p>\n
They’ve been silent the past couple of years but I expect it still sells; it is a good and easy to use program. Plus I think they’ve shifted emphasis a little to the new program, Themler.<\/p>\n
It’s pretty good of them to give a year of updates irrespective of version number; most companies give you point releases for free but upgrades required for major versions. This means even though I bought version 3 I am entitled to download and use version 4, which, as mentioned, is pretty nifty of them.<\/p>\n
With the long absence of information, seemingly from 2015, though I haven’t checked the forums, it’s sad to say Artisteer looks like another brilliant product that is too good for the world.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
